6:00PM - 9:00PM (Gallery open 11:00AM - 9:00PM) Every 2nd Friday MW Gallery joins with other venues in downtown Flint to provide an evening of art and entertainment with special extended hours and exciting arts programs! This month features live music by Canja de Boa. About the New Exhibition MW Gallery presents From Her Perspective: Intersections of Gender and Race—an exhibition of paintings, photography, sculpture, and works on paper by artists who explore Blackness, womanhood, and the female experience. Many of the artists draw from personal histories, western art history, and popular culture as they honor and critique notions of Black and female identity using figurative and abstract imagery. Artists in the exhibit include Nanette Carter, Elizabeth Catlett, Renee Cox, Bradley McCallum and Jacqueline Tarry, Zanele Muholi, Wangechi Mutu, Alison Saar, Lorna Simpson, Mickalene Thomas, and Carrie Mae Weems among others.
